Apmc Aklan Rehabilitation Team Advances Skills at Spinecor Exercise Method Workshop

The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine Team at Asia Pacific Medical Center (APMC) – Aklan recently participated in an enriching professional development event. On March 17, 2024, our team attended the SpineCor Exercise Method (SEM) Workshop led by the esteemed Dr. Anthony Fong. This workshop, a significant opportunity for our team, took place at Capiz Emmanuel Hospital, Inc., located on Roxas Avenue in Roxas City, Capiz. The SEM Workshop is well-regarded in the field of rehabilitation for its innovative approach to spinal care and its focus on non-surgical treatment methods, providing invaluable knowledge and skills to our team members.

The workshop was initiated by our Department Head, Dr. Michelle Almeida, whose proactive efforts have brought this advanced training to our team. Dr. Almeida’s dedication to enhancing the capabilities of our department is evident in her efforts to ensure we are equipped with the latest methodologies and practices in spine care.

Representing our physical therapy team at this event were Ms. Eleni Angeli Debuque and Ms. Monina Alexandra Mohammad. Both therapists gained hands-on experience and deepened their understanding of the SpineCor Exercise Method. Their participation shared their commitment to professional growth in order to enhance the services we provide to our patients suffering from spinal disorders. The insights and techniques they acquired from Dr. Fong’s expert guidance will be instrumental in improving patient outcome. This workshop marks a significant step forward for our Rehabilitation Medicine Team, aligning with our mission to provide the best possible care through continuous education and the integration of innovative treatment approaches.
